Wakati ambapo tafiti za awali zilionesha kuwa kulala muda mrefu kunaweza kusaidia zaidi kuweka sawa afya zetu, tafiti mpya zimeonesha kuwa kulala zaidi ya masaa saba ni hatari sana kwa afya ya binadamu.

Utafiti uliofanywa na Shawn Youngstedt, Professor wa chuo kikuu cha Arizona State umebaini kuwa kulala zaidi ya masaa saba au chini ya masaa saba ni hatari kwa mwili wa binadamu.

Akiongea na Wall Street Journal, professor Shawn Youngstedt amesema kuwa alifanya utafiti kwa watu 9,000 na kubaini kuwa watu wenye umri kati ya miaka 50 hadi 64 waliolala chini ya masaa sita usiku au waliolala zaidi ya masaa nane wana matatizo ya kumbukumbu na uwezo mdogo wa kufanya maamuzi.
